INTENSIVE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FACILITY

Storhaug Engineering will host a community meeting to present and discuss the site selection process for an Intensive Behavioral Health Facility, classified as an Essential Services Facility (ESF).

As part of the regional siting process required by Spokane County, a comprehensive location analysis was conducted. This evaluation assessed 24 available property alternatives across Spokane County against the core operational and functional requirements of the Intensive Behavioral Health Facility.

Current Progress & Next Steps

• Functional Analysis: A preliminary functional analysis has been completed for all 24 potential locations, resulting in a narrowed list of semi-finalist sites. A list of these 24 locations is included with this notice.

• Qualitative Analysis: Following this meeting, a qualitative analysis of the semi-finalist sites will be conducted to evaluate qualitative factors and site suitability further. A second community meeting is planned to share those results (Date TBD).

• Final Selection: Upon completion of the qualitative analysis, approximately three finalist locations will be identified and submitted to Spokane County for review by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for review. The BOCC will then rank and recommend the preferred site(s) for the Intensive Behavioral Health Facility.

Community Meeting Details

At this meeting, the applicant’s agent will present an overview of the siting process completed to date and summarize the findings of the initial location analysis.

Community input is welcomed. All attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions and comments regarding the Intensive Behavioral Health Facility during the session.
